Virginia Beach Dance Classes Prepare For Shows

All of our dancers have been working hard preparing for their end of year presentations!

Your child is very eager to demonstrate all that they have learned this year. All of our dancers will need a white leotard and white tights for their performance. Dancemakers will provide all skirts, tutus, hairpieces etc…

If your dancer does not have a leotard, you may purchase one through Ms. Jennifer or on our website. Please place all orders by April 5th to ensure delivery in time for the show.

Also, there will be no classes April 18th – 22nd due to Spring Break.

We have mastered our five ballet arm positions.

Now we are starting to work on our five positions of the feet. This month we are also working on ball change in tap.Your dancer step back on the ball of their foot and step forward on the other.

Our summer camp and summer workshops schedule will be ready very soon. Check back soon to see the exciting summer that Dance Makers has planned.

Virginia Beach Dance Class SNOW DAY!

Dance Makers wants to make sure everyone has a very safe day. So we are adhering to our policy of following the Virginia Beach public schools inclement weather policy, all Virginia Beach dance classes and presentations are cancelled today February 10th. We apologize for any scheduling inconvenience this may cause.

Ms. Jennifer will post a make up schedule when appropriate times and dates have been determined.

February Is Here For Our Virginia Beach Dancers

This month our Virginia Beach dancers are working on tendu. We stretch our legs out straight and point our toes.

We have also been working on “toe heel” during our tap dance lessons. We place the ball of our foot on the floor and tap our heels down to make two sounds.

When we shuffle, we brush the ball of our foot back and forth across the floor. Remember you don’t use your heel!

We have also been working on our forward rolls. We tuck our head and say TA DA!
